The Next Generation & The Art Of Medicine

Share This On:

"Questions are the beginning of a new finding or a new idea," says Dartmouth Graduate Freddie Fu, MD, renowned knee surgeon and chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Fu says that innovation is important, but physicians and scientists must step back and honestly look at what can be improved. According to Fu, one must also enjoy taking care of people, have the passion, and have a "worryness" about people..."that's what medicine is all about."

Fu says doctors should make sure that the next generation to come along has a better chance, more resources, and opportunities to do better than they have done.
